Tecumseh, OK – December 2, 2022 - A memoir has been in the works for over a year, and it is finally here! "I Have A Reason" (ISBN- 978-1-957262-55-0) will be distributed by Yorkshire Publishing Group out of Tulsa, OK. The book can be bought for $15.99 USD from Amazon or Barnes & Noble. Those links are at the bottom of this post.
It launched at 6:00-7:00PM CST in Tecumseh, Oklahoma's Farmer's Daughter Market. The amount of local support and anticipation was highly unexpected, to say the least. The story was covered by the Pottawatomie Countywide and Sun. There were 58 copies on hand, and they all sold before the hour was up.
The president and speaker of Stand For The Silent, Kirk Smalley, was in attendance. His organization addresses the issue of school bullying, and played a major role in the inspiration to write the book. The SFTS program has been presented to over 5,000 schools and 3,000,000 kids. The goal is to remind every one of them that they are somebody. The organization purchased several copies; SFTS has big plans to use them on their tour.
Two photographers covered the event: Grace Warren and Kalie Yeager. You can find Kalie's work on the @KalieLouisePhotography Instagram, and Grace's work on the @GKustomw Instagram account.
This event took place in The Farmer’s Daughter Market: Tecumseh Oklahoma’s unique dining and shopping destination. Whether you are looking for a savory home cooked meal, barbecue, something for your sweet tooth, or shopping for a special gift, you will find it here.
